The next CO.STARTERS cohort will begin on January 12, 2016 and will be held in Kingsport. This nine-week program equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn business ideas into action and turn a passion into a sustainable and thriving business. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings and will generally last 3 hours. The program will culminate with a pitch competition where participants will deliver a presentation on their project for the opportunity to win $5,000 in prize money to be applied towards the establishment of their business in Kingsport; however, the cohort itself is open to people across the region. Other prizes will include free financial and legal consultations as well as the opportunity to work with an AccelNow mentor and are open to all participants.
“CO.STARTERS isn’t just for new business development,” said AccelNow Assistant Director, Mike Housewright. “We’ve found that young businesses (around 2 years) also find great value in the program.”
