The AccelNow team welcomed Keith Nakoff to the team last month as the AccelNow Assistant Director and the Director of the Holston Business Development Center (HBDC).

Keith has a Master’s in Engineering Technology from East Tennessee State University, with his undergrad from Milligan. He has taught at both schools on and off since 1996.
“I’ve always been making and building things since I was a child,” said Nakoff. “Therefore, I wanted to put some polish and education towards my interests.”
Keith and his family have resided in the Tri-Cities area since 1987, with a short period of time in Atlanta. During that time, he has worked for several companies, such as, Alemite and RCAM. Nakoff began teaching at ETSU while he was in graduate school there.
“In addition to teaching and working, I have also started a fair number of businesses. Some were a success, and have been bought and sold.”
Nakoff has been associated with AccelNow for several years and has been able to take part in several training courses, events, and partnerships prior to his position as Assistant Director.
“I became familiar with AccelNow back in 2014 through a prior student of mine. Since then, I have see how AccelNow has changed and grown. The position with HBDC has opened up quite a bit in the way of opportunities to grow and expand the facilities’ offerings further and move in a very positive way for the entire region.”
In Keith’s spare time, he is a scout master for Troop 29 out of Johnson City. Both of his two sons, Slade and Mihail, are involved in Boy Scouts as well. |
