The TriCities gained a new hair and makeup artist a year ago when Rebecca Reeves and her family moved to Bristol. Rebecca is originally from Austin Texas and has since lived in other colorful vibrant places including Wilmington NC and St Croix USVI. Since making a permanent home in East Tennessee Rebecca decided to start making her own hair extensions that come from the inspiration of those places.

“Having colorful hair allows you to express yourself,” said Reeves. “However, most people do not want it to be permanent and that’s where ColorVibes comes in.”

All of Rebecca’s extensions are hand-dyed and sown using real hair. Each hair piece can be heated and washed. She says that a big selling point is the long lasting color of the clip-ins. A few weeks ago we meet with Rebecca to discuss her marketing strategy, future goals, and price points.

“I had a great meeting with AccelNow,” said Reeves. “It is so nice to have the resources and meet with people who help put my concerns at ease. Having several people’s advice always helps.”

“Everyone is so willing to help,” she said. “It’s amazing to be a part of a community with so many small businesses. Every question or issue  I had, I have found an answer to through all of the resources.
