 At sproutHR, I’m the HR partner for small creative businesses. After starting my commercial photography business in 2015 and being in the creative entrepreneur space for a while, I saw a need for help in hiring, training and developing the leadership skills necessary to grow a thriving team. I felt my years of experience and expertise in the HR field, as well as my desire to help others, could be of great value. With sproutHR, I look forward to helping small business owners navigate the often confusing and overwhelming world of employing workers, by helping them determine what they need to do in order to hire a team, while helping them build the confidence and skills they need to lead their teams successfully. I see my business growing and developing to include a team of my own and to working with small business owners throughout the country.
I first met with the team behind AccelNow at their monthly entrepreneur’s networking event in December of 2015. During the event, I learned about the CO.STARTERS program. Since I had just started a business two months’ earlier, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to ensure my business had a strong and viable foundation. I believe very much in being proactive in order to enhance long-term success, so this program seemed perfectly suited for me. I participated in the program in early 2016 and learned a great deal about setting up and running a business during the nine-week course. I also met several other amazing entrepreneurs during the program who were at various points in their own business endeavors, I shared ideas with these fellow classmates and have had the pleasure of working with some of them since the class ended. Additionally, the team at AccelNow has been encouraging, supporting, and cheering me on, as well as continuing to offer services and opportunities to help me grow my business and network within the community. In fact, I recently started a second business and was far more prepared the second time around thanks to CO.STARTERS and the team at AccelNow!
