The East Tennessee State University student Entrepreneurs’ Club will welcome Darrell Fowler as its speaker on Monday, March 13, at 5 p.m.in room 322 of Sam Wilson Hall. His topic will be “Breakthrough or Breakdown: Asking Four Essential Questions.”
In 2011, the Fowler family moved to Johnson City and opened the Chick-fil-A on West Market Street. Darrell is the owner/operator, his wife Susan handled marketing and their two teenagers worked in customer service. Susan has now moved to doing the landscaping and their children have gone off to college.
Under Fowler’s guidance, their Chick-fil-A has become an award-winning business with 70 employees on the payroll.
Fowler is a Georgia native who graduated from Georgia Tech in 1989. He began his career with Waffle House in Atlanta and operated a Waffle House franchise organization in the Mid-Atlantic region before coming to Johnson City.
