Local CO.STARTERS Graduate Chosen Among “100 Best Sites for Solopreneurs”

An AccelNow Client Feature on Ashley Cox, Owner of sproutHR

AccelNow Client and CO.STARTERS graduate, Ashley Cox, Owner of sproutHR, has been chosen as one of the winners of the 100 Best Sites for Solopreneurs for 2017 by One Woman Shop.

Solopreneur is a newer term used to describe entrepreneurs who are starting and running their businesses by themselves. They may have mentors and access to training, but they don’t have employees yet or may not wish to have a team.

As a solopreneur, it’s not tough to find solo business resources — but it’s a true challenge to find the very best resources that provide the insight, advice, and tips you need,” One Woman Shop elaborates.

Nominations were accepted from entrepreneurs all around the world from March 21st through March 31st. Thousands of nominations were carefully reviewed by One Woman Shop and the final selection for the list of 100 sites was announced on April 25th.

The list includes heavy hitters in the entrepreneurial world like Marie Forleo, Braid Creative, Seth Godin, Tara Gentile, and Smart Passive Income with Pat Flynn.  It’s packed with the very best resources for solo business owners to reference when they need help in any area of their business.

Businesses were divided into categories based on the products and/or services they provide. The categories are:

  • Digital Marketing
  • Publicity, Launching, and Sales
  • Branding, Copy, and Content Strategy
  • Biz Growth, Systems, and Productivity
    • sproutHR is listed in this category!
  • Finance, Law, and Other Things We Might Not Like to Think About
  • Mindset and Solopreneur Lifestyle
  • All Around
  • A Little Something Extra

In their 100 Best Sites for Solopreneurs 2017 list, One Woman Shop had this to say about Ashley and sproutHR:

“Just because we’re solopreneurs doesn’t mean we can’t benefit immensely from corporate best practices. Ashley gets that. She delivers her corporate HR knowledge to creative entrepreneurs to help them “hire, train, and lead a thriving team.” (Red tape and business suits, not included.)

Ashley, her husband Mike, and their border collie-hound mix, Myla, moved to the Tri-Cities in September 2015. Ashley participated in the January 2016 CO.STARTERS program that took place in Kingsport. She started sproutHR after seeing a need for HR consulting services for entrepreneurs and startups. Ashley officially opened the doors to sproutHR on July 15, 2016 and has since been serving clients locally and online with all their HR needs.

Ashley had this to say about being chosen for this special award,

I was shocked when I received the email notifying me that I had won – I didn’t even know I had been nominated! I asked around to see which of my friends had put my name in the hat for this award, because you know, that’s what friends do. To my surprise none of them had nominated me.

When it hit me that someone (or several someones) took take the time to nominate me for this award because they found so much value in the content, services, and products I offer, I was truly humbled. I thought to myself, “I’m right where I’m supposed to be. I’m making a difference in others’ lives and in the way they do business.”

That’s what life is all about, right?”
