Mountain Harvest Kitchen is Bringing Commercial Grade Equipment to Local Food-Based Businesses

On June 26 – 28, 2017 Mountain Harvest Kitchen opened their doors to the public and celebrated the newly renovated facility with a series of open houses. The Mountain Harvest Kitchen is a certified commercial kitchen created to support the development and growth of local and regional food businesses that has been in the works for nearly ten years.

The facility is equipped with commercial grade ovens, processors, cutters, dicers, peelers, juicers, dehydrators, mixers, a walk-in freezer, and much more. They will be renting space hourly, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, for caterers, food packing specialists, food trucks, and even personal use. 

The facility will also act as a business incubator, in partnership with the ETSU Innovation Laboratory, to assist clients in starting and growing their food businesses, a quality resource that will be a great addition to the region. In addition, the UT Extension has already scheduled some workshops to be held in this facility, as well.

The 4,000 sq. ft. facility, containing an array of impressive equipment, has everything you need to start and run your food business at an affordable price. In addition to the facility being available for rented workspace, they will also host workshops on proper food handling, nutrition, prep, and many other useful skills that will help increase health and quality in the region.
