Ben Arnold’s smart fishing device, ConnectScale

connectscale

Founded in 2015 by Blountville resident Ben Arnold, ConnectScale LLC is a family owned fishing analytics and product development firm dedicated to making fishing experiences more efficient and enjoyable. Their first product, ConnectScale, is a product that combines Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology and a mobile application to digitally weigh and record catch data.

Ben, an MBA graduate from the University of Tennessee, will soon release the much-anticipated ConnectScale 2 which is currently available for pre-order on their website. The improved ConnectScale 2 is expected to be ready to ship out in August of this year.

Some highlights of the changes to the new model:

Improved Battery Life

Improved Accuracy and Consistency

Manual Hold Function

Collapsible/Extendable Handle

Spring-loaded Lip Gripper that now comes attached to the scale

Larger LCD back-lit screen

And more…

ConnectScale Bluetooth Smart Digital Scale and Fishing App has already proven to be the most innovative solution to weighing and tracking catch data from fishing trips ever created. Many Bassmaster Elite Series Pro’s have proven its effectiveness already. Anglers of all skill levels will benefit from this product, though, by its ability to track data over time which begins to form “trends, habits, locations, and settings that best optimize their fishing performance”. If you’re a beginner or an experienced fisherman looking for an easier way to weigh your catch, ConnectScale will reel you in.
